The East Central Railway Zone with its Headquarter at Hajipur(Bihar) was formed on 1st Oct’02 by carving out Sonepur & Samastipur division of N.E. Railway & Dhanbad, Danapur & Mughalsarai division of Eastern Railway.

 

We do feel that vigilance is a function of the management and it is the charge of officers, supervisors & staff to ensure that the work under their jurisdiction is performed with integrity and transparency and the system established by Rules & Procedures are not violated. Vigilance organisation assists in the endeavour.

 

One of our functions is to educate employees to keep cleans of acts and practice which may lead to avoidable entanglement. The prime focus of this organisation is & has to defect willful violation of rules & regulations committed with malafide intention and to initiate suitable action thereon.
