INFRASTRUCTURE

 

Grand Chord

This section is spread from Pradhankhunta to Bandhua and consists of 40 stations (37 Stns. + 3 IBH) provided with standard III Multiple aspect colour light signaling having double distant signals. All Stns. of this section are panel stations except Gomoh. RRI has been sanctioned for Gomoh and work is in progress.

Entire GC has been provided with OFC and 18 GHz Microwave Communication. 25w VHF has been installed at each and every Station for train & Station Communication. MTRC (Mobile Train Radio Communication) is in operation in GC section.

Electronic Telephone Exchanges have been provided at Dhanbad, Gomoh, Koderma and Gujhandi Stations. Quad cable laying, installation & commissioning of UFSBI are under progress by works unit.

 

Coal Area

 

This section is spread between Dhanbad - Gomia, Gomoh - Chandrapura and Dhanbad - Sindri Town - Pathardih. There are 22 stations in this section. The stations on Pradhankhunta (excluding) – Sindri - Pathardih sections are of standard I interlocking with lower quadrant Semaphore signalling and the same on Dhanbad (excluding) – Rajabera (excluding) – Chandrapura (excluding) with Standard I and Colour light signal. Telo-Chandrapura – Gomia section has Colour light signaling with Standard III interlocking.

The communication system in Dhanbad-Gomia and Pradhankhunta – Sindri Town section is on Optic fibre. 25w VHF has been installed at every Station for train & Station Communication. Panel Interlocking with STD III interlocking is sanctioned on Pradhankhunta – Sindri section and DHN (Ex) – CRP (Ex) section.

Telephone Exchanges have been provided at Patherdih, Katrasgarh, Gomia &      Chandrapura.

 

BRKA section

This section is spread from Dumri Bihar to Garwa Road. There are 35 stations in this section. This section has Colour light signaling with Standard III interlocking.

The section is having OFC communication. 25w VHF has been installed at every Station for train & Station Communication.

Electronic Telephone Exchanges have been provided at Barkakana, Patratu, Barwadih, Daltonganj and Garwa Road.

 

CPU section


This section is spread from Garwa Road to Mahadiya/Shaktinagar. There are 26 stations in this section.In this section, stations from Garwa to Chopan (15 Stns.) have been provided Panel Interlocking with STD III and Colour light signalling. Rest of the stations are provided with LQSemaphore signalling, except OBRA station which has Colour light signal. These are class ‘B’ standard III & standard I interlocked stations.

25w VHF has been installed at every stations for train & Station Communication. Electronic Telephone Exchanges have been provided at Chopan, Singrauli, Obra and Renukut. OFC with 6 quad has been commissioned in entire Chopan section.
